 زرین نامه: ساعت زمین یک رویداد جهانی سازماندهی شده توسط صندوق جهانی طبیعت (World Wide Fund for Nature)‏ است و در آخرین شنبه ماه مارس هر سال برگزار می شود.

به گزارش زرین نامه؛ خانواده ها و صاحبان کسب و کار با خاموش کردن چراغ ها و سایر دستگاه های الکتریکی غیر ضروری خود به مدت یک ساعت آن را یادآوری می کنند و آرمان نخست اين اقدام اين است كه آگاهی درباره تغييرات آب و هوايی و نياز به مصرف محتاطانه انرژی در جهان ابقا شود. Sri Lankan youths hold up torches to mark Earth Hour in Colombo March 23, 2013.
